The above two treatments, KYBELLA (injectable) and SculpSure (laser) are part of a new area of Medicine called body contouring. HOW DOES KYBELLA WORK?
The active ingredient in KYBELLA is deoxycholic acid. This is a naturally occurring molecule in the body that aids in the breakdown and absorption of dietary fat. When injected into the fat beneath your chin (submental fat), KYBELLA causes the permanent destruction of fat cells. Once destroyed, those cells cannot store or accumulate fat. The result is a more contoured profile!
